Richard Petersen

Executive Director

Petersen is a community development professional and former employment and resident services senior program director at Enterprise Community Partners, as well as a former consultant for NeighborWorks America and the ARC Foundation, Inc. in NYC. Petersen, beyond his decades of work in affordable housing and workforce development in the District of Columbia, served as a charter member small business representative to President Clinton’s Welfare to Work Partnership from 1996 to 1997, and has been published multiple times including as co-author of Creating Opportunities for Families Through Residents Services: A Practitioner’s Manual, Volumes 1 and 2. Petersen‘s diverse background combines over 30 years of experience in operations, management, program evaluation, and development.

Shani Lee

Savings Program Coordinator

Shani Lee is the Savings Program Associate. She assists with day-to-day operations of CAAB's matched savings program. Shani is a graduate of the MDA program and attends UDC as a student in the School of Business.

Miriam Savad

Savings Program Manager

Miriam Savad is the Savings Program Manager at CAAB. She oversees day-to-day operations of CAAB’s matched savings programs and directs CAAB's policy work. Prior to joining CAAB, Miriam most recently advocated for workers’ rights as an AVODAH Fellow at the DC Employment Justice Center.

Linda Stroman

Director of Financial Education Programs

Linda Stroman is the Director of Financial Education Programs at CAAB. She provides instruction and one-on-one counseling to groups and individuals on money management and credit education. In addition, she coordinates program seminars and other events regarding CAAB's financial programs. Before joining CAAB, Linda worked for The Training Source, Inc. She provided life, professional, financial, and technical training to Maryland and DC residents and organizations.

Devin Thompson

Director of Development

Devin Thompson is CAAB’s Director of Development. In this role he has primary responsibility for maximizing the generation of individual contributions and grants to support CAAB’s programs and operations. Prior to joining CAAB, Devin served as Grant Program Manager at RAINN and in the Princeton Family YMCA’s development office as a Program Specialist.
